I promised there would be a blog about all the stuff that has taken over my dining room table.  Everything is just sitting there, waiting for me to get busy and get creative.  Wanted to show you what fun things came along in the past week to incorporate into some fun bags, totes, clutches and WHO KNOWS WHAT?  :)

Bill's brother and sister-in-law were SO generous to bring the Dale Nichols history and art book that we'd special ordered to Lincoln the other day.  I just noticed this morning that the author even signed it for us!  Dale Nichols is Bill's great uncle - Google him sometime and you'll be able to see some incredible art.  This is a huge book, and will definitely make time to sit and really read this bit of family history.

There, that's all I have for you and it's time to get on with things around here.  So YOU go do something fun, creative, and exciting!  Never know where it will lead.

Needed a HUGE break from the normal stuff today, and out of the blue comes an idea.  A new purse.  YES!  That was the ticket!  I needed a new purse, it's the first day of spring, and it DIDN'T rain today like I'd thought!  Win, Win and WIN!  So I located some black fabric I'd been hoarding that was originally $19.99 a yard, but mind you I didn't pay that price.  My nose for deals was obviously working that day - in whatever year that was.  And I'm going to keep this purse for myself.  Yep, selfish, but I adore this fabric.  I forgot to take pics of the stages of construction, but at least I can share the finished (almost) product.  I just need a big BLACK flower to pin onto it and then it's complete.

(Yes, those are Bill's shirts in the background, un-ironed. He'll live.)
You probably can't tell from the photos, but the black flowers are actually fuzzy!  Yeah, that's me and that texture thing rolling again.  But isn't it cute?  LOVE IT!

Yes, at noon today, the arduous work of redesigning that Pendleton vest into a tote bag is complete - AND listed.  I have signed off on it.

Keep your eyes peeled today for the reveal of that golf vest tote!  It's going to end up having a little ditty bag to match - just big enough for hold some important things you might just need zipped up inside the tote.

Can't wait to show you all!

Want you all to remember how it started out as a true to life golfer's knitted vest.

Day two isn't going to bring a lot of news yet this morning.  This is Wednesday, which always follows Tuesday - my long day at work.  Not a lot of creative juices are working when coming home on a Tuesday evening.

But that doesn't stop the mind from running in overdrive the minute I wake up on Wednesday morning!

I keep seeing this golf sweater in my head.  It's sitting in there getting mulled over.  This has to be tackled next.  Spring will be here soon, and this will be perfect for those gals who not only love to golf, but like to carry something a little different and off the beaten path.  And an $84 dollar vest just HAS to come out functional, different and with a little flair, don't ya think?

So keep watching as the GOLF VEST gets a major overhaul this week.
