There hasn't been much to report or update this week.  Not sure what's going on in my head, but maybe after the work week is over and a Saturday morning packed with some 'me' things I'll get back on track in the work room.  I'm not a real fan of tax day either and that's probably part of it all.  So now that I've laid that out on the table, I thought I'd show you a couple of things that should be arriving this week for a special order and another idea of mine.
Picture
I found these on Etsy at a price that could not be passed up.  Yes, they are coming from China with very inexpensive shipping.  Now why can't I ship something to Canada which is closer for that same kind of money?  I can't figure it out and I HAVE to get something up there, somehow someway.  Very frustrated with our local USPS office as they were no help whatsoever.  But anyway, enough grumbling.  I found a large swatch of my own knitting while cleaning out a bin and that's what this particular closure will be used for.  I'm rather excited to try this method of purse making out and hope the tutorials on YouTube will stick in my brain.  :)

Picture
I also found this fabulous and elegant strand of pale lavender pearls on Etsy.  There is a gal at work that has such talent in making bracelets and I just want to encourage her to keep on keepin' on.  There is a charm I found to go with these pearls and thing it will make a dynomite bracelet for someone I love very much as a gift (sometime).

Gorgeous or WHAT?

And finally, this is the fabric that is on order and should be here tomorrow for a special request large notebook/portfolio from my Etsy store.  It's an Amy Butler fabric and should work up wonderfully.

So hopefully it will come when UPS says it will and I can get this made up this weekend for the buyer's approval.

There are three crocheted hats that are nearly complete for a special order from a co-worker.  I should probably tie up those lose ends this morning and get these to her as they are for a friend going through chemotherapy out-of-state.

PLUS I still have that bountiful box of goodies from Marcy that need to be made up into interesting items for her.

And then there's Bill's leather notebook - it's still daunting me as 'unforgiving' materials, no matter HOW gorgeous, still scare the poo out of me.

So there's a lot on my plate, or should I say PLATES!  Ha Ha!

Now get on with your day, and get CREATIVE!

Only a couple things to report on today, but they are FUN ones!  Got the shipment of new fabrics from Fabric.com while I was home for lunch today.  Check out the Michael Miller ones on the left!!!  Aren't they the best yet?  A.D.O.R.E. them!  But as I brought the box in, Bill noses in and asks if it's our leather shipment yet.  Do you think he's excited about the leather idea or WHAT?  :)
Picture
Those three flowers you see kind of in the middle are actually made from large sequins and will look fantastic on purses or totes.  So many ideas.....  But anyway, back to my story.  I have a co-worker who enjoys many different crafts and it is always so much fun to talk about different ideas, projects and, well, let's just say she is one lady with a HUGE heart.  Another gal at work asked her to make a specialized bracelet and this is what she brought in today!  Is this not the cutest baseball mom bracelet ever?  Team colors and charms to make it personal.  Still trying to convince her to join me in a fall craft fair - she SHOULD!  These are perfect.......

This designers name is Madeline - and she needs some encouragement to keep up the great work!  Now she needs a name to put to her things, right?

There are eight (8) new listings on Etsy.  Complete.  Done.  Written up.  Put out there.  The gazillion photos can now be erased off the camera.  Time for some eye and mind relaxation...... does that mean sleep?  Could be!

See, I'm too lazy to even put up the links to the Etsy items.  Deal wid' it.  :)  Look at the scrolling boxes down on the right side - you'll get there is you want.

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend full of good things.

Blessings and get creative!

Meet........ The Triple Flip!  I think that's what these can be called so they have a general name when I train Bill on how to sell 'em.  Right?  HA!

I almost have it down and can't wait to do MORE!  This one is even better than the first, but I can always do better-er.  It's in the genes, can't help it.

This fabric is SO gorgeous and can't wait until tomorrow when the sun comes out, hopefully, so a good photo can be taken.  The camera doesn't always do the best job, or is it the operator?  Hmmmmm

That photo is at kind of a weird angle and not focused too good, but right now neither am I.  LOL  The blue pen has GOT to go because it just plain looks bad.  No question.  And that pocket on the top left side?  Yeah, you could fit your iPhone in it.  It's that deep.

OK, I'm off to watch an old movie and get once around that baby blanket with the base row of crochet.  Good night, sleep tight and let's make tomorrow the best day yet.

The idea worked!  Saw something sort of like this on the web, but didn't really like how the pen holder worked with the other one.  But this will work - even BETTER than elastic, ribbon or whatever.  The next one will be even better because the first is always a learning experience, right?  I like spines on smaller things, and this one has a real spine, but it's still pliable.  No board or cardboard in this one.  And THREE pockets, baby!  THREE!  Some are hidden under the notepad, but they're there.  So I think I'll go try my hand at one more of these, tweek it a little and be back posting in a couple of hours.  Here we go!

I've had a very fruitful morning in getting some product actually COMPLETE!!!  YIPEEE  Here's the stack of large ports and a couple of medium sized martini ports.  The martini themed ones are just fun, what can ya say.

Two martinis, a pink and black princess-ish one, Maxine (gotta love her), green paisleys and you can't tell, but the bottom one is sort of like a night out with pearls and long gloves.  Yeah, it's different, so you'll just have to wait and see it whenever I get around to writing them up and putting them on Etsy.  (Oh, how I hate that part)  Or maybe I should try the Three Sisters on these..... Oh, decisions decisions.  :)  But progress has been made!  Almost time to gear up into my Henry Ford mode soon and get more things cut out and ready to roll.  But I have a little something I want to try next before I do that.  So keep watch!
Tonight it's going to be me, that Debbie Mumm fleece blanket you see in the background that getting a lace edging put on, and a movie.......

Needed a HUGE break from the normal stuff today, and out of the blue comes an idea.  A new purse.  YES!  That was the ticket!  I needed a new purse, it's the first day of spring, and it DIDN'T rain today like I'd thought!  Win, Win and WIN!  So I located some black fabric I'd been hoarding that was originally $19.99 a yard, but mind you I didn't pay that price.  My nose for deals was obviously working that day - in whatever year that was.  And I'm going to keep this purse for myself.  Yep, selfish, but I adore this fabric.  I forgot to take pics of the stages of construction, but at least I can share the finished (almost) product.  I just need a big BLACK flower to pin onto it and then it's complete.

(Yes, those are Bill's shirts in the background, un-ironed. He'll live.)
You probably can't tell from the photos, but the black flowers are actually fuzzy!  Yeah, that's me and that texture thing rolling again.  But isn't it cute?  LOVE IT!

Four items are listed, which means now they can get business cards put in them and bagged up in plastic for safe keeping.  The listings are the hardest part to do and takes me forever!!!  UGHHHH  I'm not a writer by a long shot and could sure use some help in that area, but that's the way it goes, right?  Four items and two hours later, I'm ready to get off the computer and get back to actually making something worthwhile!  :)  Here's the listings......

There is one more thing to list, but it just may not get done today.  But that's okay!

Thanks for looking and happy creating, everyone!

Just learned it is National Quilt Day!  I'm not surprised as it is National Craft Month also.  Hence all the crafting madness going on around here.

Wanted to throw a link out to all you fabric addicts out there from Fabric.com as they are running a fantastic sale today!  So head on over there and look at all the gorgeous designs they have to offer - and ON SALE no less!!!  And always free shipping on a minimum $35 order.  Can't beat that one.

I had to post these pieces as they just made me giggle.  "Be a Man" rebel patches and "Be a Man" cold one.  Now what could I make out of something like this?  Isn't this just too funny?

Absolutely CRACKS ME UP!!!!

After having a very enjoyable morning at work (and I mean that) I needed to stop at Walmart (ick) for some essentials.  While there, thought I'd pick up some iron-on batting as theirs is the least expensive, even with a coupon at Joann's.  They had some great bargains in the main aisle, and yes, I fell for it.  Hook, line, and sinker.  Actually did not get a whole lot accomplished for the my on-line stores today, but tomorrow is another day.  So here's the non-eventful events of the afternoon......
Picture
Who can resist $3.50 per bin, huh? And $3.50 for a pack of 3 smaller ones?
Picture
Poky Puppy and Little Golden Books fabric came in the mail yesterday. See the gorgeous stuff on the right? OOOOO Yep, lady bugs, to the left.
Picture
Look!!! I found my sewing machine table!!!
Picture
And set up those cheap bins with fabric, paper, pens, appliques, you name it. But it's organized! And the mini cutting table is cleared off! WOW ME!
Picture
I only located 1/2 of the guest bed, though. OH, well.....
Picture
This last photo is me determined to fix every demo to perfection and add something to its package so I can list each on Etsy tomorrow.  So each of the mini folder/binder thingy's are now fixed, getting a bonus item done, and yes..... I need more decoupage stuff.  crap

The case you see at the top left hand side of the photo is Bill's grandpa's special collection that he has nowhere to hang at his office.  Yet.  His office here in town has not been completed yet so he figures hanging it in the hallway where his desk is probably isn't the right thing to do.  And his office in Omaha is just too far away to put this treasure.  So here it lays, on our dining room table - but it's safe and sound.  But should I be using a paint brush around it?  Hmmmmm

As the hub has a gig, me and Mark Harmon will keep up with each other this evening, keeping busy doing something.  I really do wish he'd get a different haircut in that show, though.  tee hee

Get creative - and have a blessed weekend!  I'll update something tomorrow, hopefully.  :)
