Had a rough start on this one yesterday, and turning it right side out after forming it into a box was probably the hardest one I have done to date. Sort of wanted to punch it. :) But that certainly wouldn't have gotten the job done. So here is how it sits this morning with hopefully a better ending to it later today. The difficult part is at least completed, and the fun and bling can begin! Get a little creative today and think outside the box!

I promised there would be a blog about all the stuff that has taken over my dining room table. Everything is just sitting there, waiting for me to get busy and get creative. Wanted to show you what fun things came along in the past week to incorporate into some fun bags, totes, clutches and WHO KNOWS WHAT? :) And this treasure also came this week.......... Bill's brother and sister-in-law were SO generous to bring the Dale Nichols history and art book that we'd special ordered to Lincoln the other day. I just noticed this morning that the author even signed it for us! Dale Nichols is Bill's great uncle - Google him sometime and you'll be able to see some incredible art. This is a huge book, and will definitely make time to sit and really read this bit of family history.
There, that's all I have for you and it's time to get on with things around here. So YOU go do something fun, creative, and exciting! Never know where it will lead. I just found an idea (how I wish it were my own) for recycling Altoid Mint boxes. Of course, me being me, the idea will get kicked up a couple of notches and will be a new product in the JournalJunction line on Etsy. So everyone, PLEASE don't throw those tins away because I will use, use, and USE them!!! Thank you Better Homes and Gardens for the inspiration - and the ability to take your basic idea and spin it around a little. YeeeeeeHa!
Just wanted to give you a little tease as to something that came up yesterday. A new recycling project! Only going to show you the item that is going to get upcycled and re-styled into something hopefully a little fun. This is a wonderful vinyl mesh promo that was destined for a recycle bin at work. Yep, you got it. I nabbed it and can't wait to redesign this into.....???? You guess! This thing is huge, that's why I photographed it on the floor. You can get sort of an idea of how much material there is here to work with. SO FUN! So keep your eye out for the finished project hopefully this week.
Keep creating, keep busy! |
